Sculpture and landscape. As this shot from @visitlancashire proves, there are plenty of striking pieces of contemporary art to enjoy nearby. Pendle’s Panopticon, Atom, is a sculpture, a shelter, and a frame through which to view the stunning countryside above Wycoller village.

Food and drink. Lancashire has a really vibrant food and drink scene so you can take your pick of menu moments that are sure to stop the scroll and grab attention. Whether you indulge in a spot of fine dining @restaurantmoorhall, or you head off to hunt for local specialities such as black pudding, butter pie, Forest of Bowland game, or a bubbling Lancashire hotpot, you’re sure to create some very tasty Instagram posts indeed.

Coast and sky. Our coastline offers up endless combinations of sea, sand and sky. @Milli_jaym shows us just how to capture the light over Morecambe Bay with the Lake District fells in the far distance. Variations on this theme include different weather conditions from storm brewing to billowing white clouds, and different times of day from sunrise right through to sunset.

History and architecture. Although we’re based in Lancashire, we are right on the cusp of three counties that are incredibly proud of their history. Yorkshire, Cumbria and Lancashire are home to some amazing buildings, and ruins. Throw in an unusual angle or perspective and you have a shot like this one by @stuartappley.
